1. For Informational Use Only
FD Interest Calculator is a free, browser-based tool designed to help you quickly estimate the maturity value and interest earned on a fixed deposit. The results are based on the values you enter — principal amount, interest rate, and tenure — and are meant to give you a general idea, not a guaranteed figure.
Nothing on this website should be treated as financial advice, investment guidance, tax advice, or a recommendation to invest in any specific bank or scheme.
2. Results Are Estimates, Not Guarantees
Fixed deposit returns depend on several factors that this calculator does not fully model for every situation:
- Compounding frequency: Different banks compound interest differently — monthly, quarterly, or at maturity. This calculator uses quarterly compounding for cumulative FDs as a standard approximation.
- Rate variations: Banks may offer special rates for specific tenures, senior citizen schemes, bulk deposits, or promotional periods. The prefilled rates in this tool are indicative for popular 1-year tenures only.
- Premature withdrawal penalties: Breaking an FD before maturity usually reduces the effective interest rate. This calculator does not account for penalties.
- TDS deductions: Tax Deducted at Source (TDS) may apply to FD interest above the applicable threshold. The maturity amount shown here is before any tax deductions.
- Special schemes: Banks periodically introduce special FD products (like SBI Amrit Kalash, HDFC's special tenures, etc.) with different rates not captured here.
3. Interest Rate Accuracy
The interest rates shown in the rate table are updated periodically based on publicly available information. However, banks revise their FD rates frequently — sometimes without much notice — especially after RBI policy announcements. We cannot guarantee that the rates displayed are current at all times.
The "Updated on" date shown on the calculator page indicates when rates were last manually reviewed. Please treat this as a reference point, not a real-time data feed.
4. No Affiliation with Any Bank
FD Interest Calculator is an independent website. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or partnered with any bank, financial institution, or government body mentioned on this site. Bank names are used only for reference purposes to help users estimate returns.

8. A Note to Users
We built this calculator to make fixed deposit math easier for everyday people — whether you are a first-time investor, a senior citizen comparing bank options, or someone doing a quick sanity check before visiting your bank. We want it to be genuinely useful, which is why we are upfront about what it can and cannot do.
If you spot an error, a rate that looks outdated, or something unclear, please let us know. Your feedback helps us keep this tool reliable and trustworthy.
